    Conflict-Free Minerals Policy

    Conflict-Free Minerals Policy

Minerals such as 3TG(tantalum Ta, Tin Sn, Tungsten W, gold Au), cobalt Co and Mica mica from conflict or high-risk areas, metal minerals controlled by non-government armed forces or illegal military factions through smuggling and trade routes are conflict minerals.

The UOE requires suppliers to comply with the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct (RBA), only source materials from environmentally and socially responsible suppliers, all suppliers must not source and use conflict minerals, meet conflict-free mineral requirements, and source from the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) certified smelters and refineries list as confirmed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).

All suppliers should source metals from smelters and refineries certified by RMAP to meet conflict-free metal requirements. Smelters and refineries that are not RMAP certified must be removed from the supply chain.

    Supplier Requirements

If conflict minerals are used to provide UOE products, please inform the supplier immediately and take alternative plans, and implement relevant rectification measures as required by our company. Only after the rectification is completed can the supplier continue to supply, so as to ensure that the conflict-free requirements are fully met. The related products and materials involving conflict minerals are treated as non-conforming products.

Suppliers and supply chains are required to conduct commercially reasonable due diligence annually to ensure that metals used in products supplied to UOE do not originate from conflict minerals. Changes to supplier or supply chain conflict minerals smelter and refinery information (including additions or remotions), as a major change management, should also require immediate notification to the UOE via the RMI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template or other reports that meet the requirements of the IPC-1755 Conflict Minerals Data Exchange Standard.

Suppliers, mineral processors, mining companies or source raw ore in the supply chain are required to develop policies and management procedures related to conflict minerals in accordance with the requirements of the OECD and this Standard.
